Sesame Workshop, Genius Products and Amazon.com Reacquaint Fans with Classic Sesame Street as Series Celebrates Its 40th Anniversary with New DVD

Month-Long Vote Allows Fans To Choose Favorite Sesame Street Clip For Ultimate DVD Collection Due Out This November From Sesame Workshop and Genius Products

Genius Products and Sesame Workshop have teamed with Amazon.com to allow fans to take a stroll down “Sesame” lane and vote for their favorite classic Sesame Street clip to be included in a DVD compilation due out later this year. Beginning April 1st, fans visiting Amazon’s DVD home page http://www.amazon.com/movies can view 10 clips from some of the series’ best classic episodes and vote for their favorite one. The clip with the most votes by April 28th will be featured in the Sesame Street: 40 Years of Sunny Days DVD, slated for release in November 2009, from Genius Products and Sesame Workshop, the non-profit educational organization behind Sesame Street.

Since it’s 1969 debut, Sesame Street has helped entertain and educate audiences around the world. The milestone Sesame Street: 40 Years of Sunny Days DVD will commemorate 40 years of the landmark show with loads of classic content, and will reacquaint fans with the ever changing educational television experiment known as Sesame Street.
