upc, why do you think AMD's stock price is down? I gave my reasons, perhaps I didn't state it clearly enough. Here is the direct statement, the supporting reasons are in my other posts from the past few days:

AMD stock price is down because it is a high beta stock that generally overshoots the overall market, which is down. The market is down because of dissapointment over the tepid rate of recovery.

AMD stock price will continue to be under pressure until the market as a whole starts moving up. This will happen when investors collectively believe the economic recovery is accelerating.
