rest assured, by rules n' regs, ex-date rules if an ex-date is published.

I understand the exception re: restricted stocks or otherwise quoted "no ex-date."

BUT if an ex-date is published? Ex-date rules. Yes, I'm aware of some who have "gotten away with" ignoring the rules. Hence, my inquiry...
