I appreciate your devotion to your kids and family -- God expects that from you. But you do not need to take theology classes at this point, for what you will get out of that will depend on whose classes you take.

What you need to do beginning right now is to spend some time reading the Bible, preferably by reading some every day. You cannot make a valid decision if you are not conversant with what the Bible says. Before you begin, ask God that if He exists, that He would reveal Himself to you and open your heart to the truth. He will answer your prayer as you study His word.
