Didn't you? When ever you see stats like that, saying "so and so of this is ??% less likely to be killed or whatnot" ask yourself....what is the real reason?

My personal favorite is the stat saying that some high percentage of kids who smoke are less likely to do well in school. Well it's not the smoking that makes them not do their work, it's the fact that most kids who smoke are delinquents and complete idiots who do not value intelligence. The cigarettes have nothing to do with it.

Other fav stats of mine are poverty related stats and ethnic related stats. They are all misleading.
