I agree about the UAW. I grew up in the rust belt. I have family still working for the Big 3. The biggest problem is the pensions. GM and Ford did not save any money for them. Sounds familiar? Dare I say Social Security. So they are in deep dodo agreeing with the UAW contracts. So if GM fails expect the US taxpayer to pay for the pension fund.

I do not want any of the big 3 to fail but you can't bail everybody out because of poor business decisions.

I have a 1997 Ford E350 Van for work. I love it. 145K miles and does not leak or burn oil. Just regular maintenance. Best van I ever owned.

My wife has a Mitsubishi. It's a piece of junk. Always in the repair shop. It has an electrical problem no one has able to fix. Next car a new Ford or Chrysler. GL
