Unfortunately the price of food, which none of us can do without, is not deflating, it is rising. I bought a head of lettuce for $1.99 today in the Imperial Valley. Nearly $2? for a head of lettuce in an area that raises produce to market?! That is ridiculous. Food prices have been steadily rising for some time now, and I hate to think what will happen if/when we get hyperinflation down the road!
