Juggsy... OT Concrete soap opera.

House is on a slope. Dug out endless yds of dirt. Dug under two sides of the existing foundation. Pretty scary in earthquake country. Poured 12 yds under part of existing foundation. New foundation has an L shaped 3' wide by 1' thick footing. Bent so much rebar "I GOT BLISTERS ON MY FINGERS!!"

Bought a rotohammer...cool tool. Epoxy-ed rebar and wired it together.

Dug out from under the other part of the foundation. Poured another 11 yds to extend it down.

This weekend poured 10 yds for the floor slab, as well as the entry pad, and small retaining wall. The only help I had was a finisher for the slab as I wanted it to look good after all that effort. (Hey 10Z, can a blower finish concrete??)

Today, after soccer, I crashed hard.

Ironically, Juggster, this pm I watched Endless Summer, the original, on one of Burt Reynolds' hosting sports movie deals.

Here's to a good week!
