You are correct Jonesie. Reading the 2D code from the display of a cell phone is no different than reading it from the boarding pass that I print that has a PDF417 bar code on it and they read at the gate scanners. The information is direct encoded in the barcode and acceses the airlines database; transactions occur outside of the airlines closed systems, thus no recurring revenue.
