Research Interests: Molecular biology; pathogenesis of T cell mediated and autoimmune skin disorders; HIV; cutaneous T cell lymphoma; retinoids; psoriasis; alopecia areata

The objectives of my research are to understand at a molecular level the pathogenesis of autoimmune and immunologically mediated skin disorders (including psoriasis, alopecia areata, lupus, and bullous diseases). Secondly, we are undertaking selective manipulation of targeted gene regulation in order to understand and treat skin disease.

A tutorial in my laboratory would provide basic skills in molecular biology including in situ hybridization and polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
