Introducing New Business Models to Address Global Environmental Issues


Environmental issues are of common interest throughout the world. Our initiatives already under way in this field include creating and implementing recycling systems for PET bottles, automobiles, and electric appliances as well as the manufacturing and marketing of eco-cement (cement produced from residual ash). We are also adapting new business models, such as Private Finance Initiative (PFI) arrangements, to help address the task of creating a sustainable recycling society and to preserve the environment on a global scale. Also, as part of our efforts in promoting regional environmental issues, we are actively taking initiatives in the reduction of CO2 such as by developing projects linked with emission rights trading.
