OT: Rich, I've served in the armed forces and want a safer world for my children.

But, when a commander in chief allienates our allies. When, the planners of this war ... have not served in the armed services because of deferments and when an administration decides to set aside the Geneva convention it makes you wonder wether hard working American soldiers are being used as cannon fodder.

When the Current Commander in chief .... thought nothing of going AWOL for a year ..... you have to question the character of such a leader.

Hunting down Alqaeda and terrorist is one thing but occuping iraq is something different !!

We could do a significantly better job hunting down terrorist if all our allies supported our efforts.

The occupation of iraq was ill advised at the outset, Saddam was contained, the intelligence presented by Powell and the administration was both grossly exaggerated and in at least one case fabricated.

We need new leadership thats both credible and willing to refocus on the real threats. Terrorism, Nuclear Proliferation and economic decline !!!

And FYI not everybody that opposes this war is a liberal. Stop drinking the conservative political rhetoric. Everyone on this board wants a safer and prosperous America. You don't accomplish that by killing or torturing thousands of innocent iraqi citizen's. The prudent use of military force is not a liberal ideal its a sane conservative one !!!
