The idea behind this board is to make money on the market's downside. The first step was to alter everyone that the markets were going up for the wrong reasons and the uptrend was unsustainable. I started doing that about 2 - 3 years ago.
There are ways to make money while the markets are dropping. QID, SDS are the easier ones to buy and hold becuase they reflect the broader market.
Gold seems to be working right now too although May - Aug is generally not a good time to own gold. IAU and GLD are the gold ETFs. AUY is a gold stock that seems to move 3% when gold moves 1%.
