The mass of Independent Day traders are in effect mini market makers and as small businessman they buy and sell out of their accounts and provide liquid funds in total on both sides to support the markets. The ultimate in free market capitalism. No one can control the market and nobody is too big to fail. Taxing them would be a crime. On the other hand the big program WS traders/hedge funds who manipulate the market... I'm open for a tax on them and their trades. JMHO.
