CFTC moves against CBOT trader facing felony charges (CME) By Kate Gibson
CHICAGO (CBS.MW) -- The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission said Thursday it is moving to suspend the floor trading privileges of a Chicago Board of Trade trader charged with 20 felony counts of securities and bank fraud and making false statements to financial institutions and federal regulators. Scott C. Anixter, former chief executive officer of the now-defunct Anicom, is accused of taking part in a scheme to overstate the company's income and earnings by millions of dollars. The U.S. attorney's office in Chicago is pursuing charges against Anixter, who allegedly helped in creating phony sales of at least $24 million while at the helm of the Rosemont, Ill.-based distributor of wire and cable products. Anixter, a registered floor broker for more than 20 years, had his trading rights suspended for six months in 1990 after an FBI sting operation at the CBOT and Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), the CFTC said.

Pennies not a zero sum game as much as some zero game.
