If you've followed the Macworld thread, you can see that most people do not see the entire picture. They don't see the entire forest because they are so busy examining the trees.

They don't understand that eventually, Qtrax will work on the Mac and the iPod. The fact they wouldn't (or couldn't) check out the system on a PC is symbolic of their "Macs rule the world" attitude.

They also keep saying that iPods have 50% of the worldwide market. Well, I know a lot of people overseas, and they don't use iPods. Heck, iPhones aren't even sold in their countries (except the black market which requires hacked phones). Now even if it were true (50% of the market), that would soon change as more and more devices begin to incorporate windows media into their phones. Let's face facts - Microsoft has much more influence that Apple does in the worldwide markets. Yes, Macs are nice (I have a few of them), BUT they are still very much in the minority (contrary to what the MW guys want to believe). As people upgrade their phones, they would, be default, be buying Qtrax compatibility (for free because they would be buying a new phone anyway!).

Also, eventually, as Apple did, Qtrax will have to move away from DRM too. It's inevitable. So every one of their arguments, if you look at the with a longer-term perspective, are worthless. They kept steering the conversation back to 'right now.' Very myopic views in my opinion. But they have their heads in the sand.

This type of attitude is the very reason we are still a penny stock. People still can't believe it will work. But it will. Qtrax is going to change the music biz.

IMO!
