The problem with Ameritrade is there is a 5 day waiting period before you can buy stocks once you've made a deposit. In OTC stock tading, that's an eternity.

The problem with keeping money in your account in case it drops is when it keeps dropping after you feel its hit bottom. i never thought I'd see the .08s let alone the .07s

Hopefully that's all behind us now.
