You are correct. The market as a whole has been smashed, with most of the stocks at low prices.
Some of these low-priced stocks actually represent successful companies, so why not invest in them instead of a poor company, just because the poor company's stock is also very low ?
Anyway, perhaps people can share their suggestions as to which sectors and stocks are promising.
For sectors, there are: Tech (eg Goog, Amzn, Csco), Biopharm (eg Dna), Med (eg Abt), Energy (eg oil, nat gas), Alt-Energy (eg solar), Metals, Consumer, Agric, and others.
