Hong Kong, China — Hong Kong, February 26, 2007 - Asian Star Development, Inc. (ASDV), with its principal offices in Hong Kong, is pleased to announce that it has begun active extraction of ores from the XinQiao mine site.
Mr. Stephen Chow, President of ASDV, stated: "After an extended period of challenges, we are pleased to announce that Asian Star has finally obtained complete legal and full operational control of the XinQiao Mine. With the support of local and regional governments, we have begun ore extraction activities at the XinQiao Mine site. With preliminary strong gold ore forecasts at these sites, and based on past explorations and gold-bearing ore extractions in the area, we are optimistic and expect that Asian Star is well positioned for growth."
The XinQiao Mine, is located approximately 40 kilometres to the west of Nanshao County in Henan Province, China. The XinQiao Mine covers a total area of 19.36 square kilometers and is situated in one of the most historically prolific gold producing regions of China.
The Company has obtained all necessary government permits required for mine exploration and ore extraction activities.
