& the same is true from the US depression way back in the day...in fact my dad (born in '28) is still quite conservative (& that's putting it mildly) to this day...& from what I've seen from our parents (or folks from that era) for the most part is that indeed that experience has made so much of a long long impression on them that it has definitely played a huge role in shaping them.

Not to say we'll be experiencing the same kinda challenges as they did...at least of course I hope it wont prove 2 b that dire. But to a degree, agreed in so much as I really believe that we wont be seeing the type of spending we saw in the 90's & early 2k's....not by a long shot.
