VimpelCom and Amdocs Complete Armenian Deployment of First Consolidated Wireline and Wireless Billing Platform in the Commonwealth of Independent States

VimpelCom continues to standardize on Amdocs' products across subsidiaries outside of Russia; Amdocs also delivers multiple customer management products on the same platform


MOSCOW and ST. LOUIS, Feb. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Vimpel-Communications ("VimpelCom") (NYSE: VIP), a leading provider of communications services to approximately 60 million customers in Russia and in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, today announced the deployment of a comprehensive Amdocs solution incorporating billing, customer management and self-service capabilities at its wholly-owned subsidiary in Armenia - ArmenTel. The Amdocs software replaced several legacy systems and provides ArmenTel with convergent support across wireless and wireline voice and data offerings to improve operational efficiencies, expedite the introduction of new services and attractive and complex tariffs, and drive profitability.

The Amdocs solution empowers ArmenTel's customer service and sales representatives with a single customer view, helping to reduce call handling time. It also enables ArmenTel's customers with ubiquitous control over their accounts through self-service capabilities. This will allow ArmenTel to dramatically improve customer satisfaction and reduce costs associated with customer service.
