That is the interesting twist to the whole matter that I could foresee. The DOJ ordered the divestiture of the Labatt brand which they feared price fixing on in that upstate NY region. It is housed under Labatt USA for sales and distribution. They did not order the sale of Labatt USA the company. I believe there are some 12 or so other brands that Labatt sells including Rolling Rock.

So to acquire the one brand leaves all the others under InBev control. All are handled out of the corporate offices in Buffalo. If you buy the Labatt brand, do you pick up those employees and offices? They should. But how do those employees continue to work for two bosses? How does one remain in Buffalo with one brand when it takes them all to be the Labatt it was?

Maybe it just remains business as usual for InBev who just changes the company name. They just keep doing what they are doing and they decide where they go or if they stay where they are.
