"Brooks Automation Inc.'s software division and Hewlett-Packard Co. today said that they are embarking on an agreement whereby the two will provide adaptive manufacturing and enterprise performance software.

The combination of Brooks' real time enterprise software and HP's server platforms and technology services strengthens Brooks' global presence and further enables HP to meet the performance, reliability and adaptive manufacturing requirements of its customers, the companies said. Brooks recently released products such as FACTORYworks, CELLworks and Xsite(TM) on the Itanium2-based HP Integrity platform."
