Turkey Hunter...my interest has been stirred on the Dan Wesson's. There's a guy who brings about every model they make to one of our monthly gun shows. The .414 Super Mag and the .445 Super Mag look interesting. Not about to give up my .454 Casull Super Redhawk but, those 2 calibers are intriguing. I might be willing to give up my .44 Mag and my .41 Mag for either the .414 SM or the .445 SM.
I think you are right...Dan Wesson doesn't make CCW guns or at least what most of us would consider CCW's (Semi-Auro's) but, they are fine hunting and competition pistols. You are a better shot than you give yourself credit for to have the kind of success you've had.
In one of those links there's a picture of a guy who made a group at 200 meters with the .414 SM I think. I would hope Kia sends/sent his pistols back for repairs. Even though DW has changed ownership I'm sure they want to keep their reputation and like most gun companies, they'd rather fix it Free of Charge than run the risk of getting a bad reputation.
