My deepest sympathies to the family. Apparently it was over an argument and the murderer is in custody according to this article. Senseless,totally senseless, he was a nice guy from what I know of him here. Here is more.

Carlos Viera is expected to be charged with the murder of William Howery.
BRADENTON (Bay News 9) -- Deputies are investigating the death of a man who they said was stabbed as he held a one-year-old boy in his arms.
According to reports, deputies responded to a call of a fatal stabbing at 1248 Whitfield Ave. in Bradenton. When they arrived, they found William Howery, 37, in the parking lot of Royal Relaxation, a lingerie business. He had been stabbed.
Howery was taken to Bayfront Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Officials said Howery was holding a 1-year-old boy, who they believe was his son, at the time of the stabbing. The little boy was not hurt.
Deputies said they later arrested the suspect, 31-year-old Carlos Viera, at a convenience store on 34th Street W. They said Howery had called the spa to talk to his girlfriend, who is an employee at the business, and spoke to Viera's wife, who also works there.

Witnesses said Viera's wife and Howery got into an argument over the phone, and later, when Howery showed up at the spa, he started arguing with Viera. That argument led to the stabbing, the report said.
Authorities said they do not believe Howery and Viera knew each other prior to the stabbing.
Viera is expected to be charged with murder.
