Since October 2008, no progress has been
made toward rebasing the value of the Iraqi
dinar against the U.S. dollar. Treasury continues
to recommend measures to improve the rates of
exchange. Further, it recommends that the GOI
reissue banknotes in denominations that are
more convenient and less costly to produce
