I noted it as a toroid with a fairly complex set of movements across the surface...

If you concentrate on the movement, you might notice that can be interpreted as rotating in either direction... I guess an "optical illusion" but still more of a trick of the mind/eye connection that likely has different people seeing it differently... rotating to the left ? ... or rotating to the right ?

Cool, anyway... useful in that aspect... pointing out not only how different people can see the same thing differently, but how the same thing can appear differently to you depending on how you look at it... or when... as different things influence your judgment. That makes it relevant here, too.
