I ended being EXTREMELY busy all wknd.....did a 500 mile r/t rescue to the CA Central Valley to pull 2 dogs @ 2 different shelters....Lindsay & Visalia, CA....left on Sat AM @ 5 & didn't return til approx 3p...& of course was WIPED OUT!! & if that wasn't enuff I had ta get ready for a 4:30 family event at Sis' place for which we were 90 mins late to....good thing it's fam & they understood why we were late.
I wont get into just how dire the shelter situation has been getting & will surely be gettin worse b4 better.....but the dogs I pulled had assigned PTS dates for later on this week....being that they were there for over 2 mos & w/more & more incomings on a daily basis....just simply no more room. They're at the stage where they are now giving away dogs for free.....our Rescue wasn't charged a dime for either dog.
So I finally brought home our 1st official foster....(have never actually fostered b4...just transport & drop off w/the fosters) & hope to have him turned around soon.....real sweet lil guy who gets along great w/not only my 2 girls 3 & 6 but also our alpha, Cody. Magoo's name really fits him too...quite the clutz he be...doesn't do stairs yet or has no clue what a leash is....not even sure he knows he's a dog quite yet...lol He's not even 1 y.o. yet but is fairly mellow for a pup. So I'll be busy gettin him assimalated & we also gotta go get him neutered of course....so in addition to my usual doody's 'round here w/the humans, house, etc. I dont see much time in my near future....but will try to participate in the comp....I did sign up this AM.
Thx again to da feline for steppin in there....guess I started somethin I couldn't finish.....tho in my defense, the Rescue came up at the very last min on Fri afternoon....I hadn't a clue I was gonna be making that long ass run on early Sat AM & be gone all day. & it looks like I'll be taking another run out there either later on this week or after I get back from Reno next Sun night or Mon.....yes, I gotta make a Reno run ta get carpets cleaned in the rental, change locks, etc.....way too busy over here for much anything else.
I'll try to keep up w/the posts.....but between that, the comp & everything else....don't be surprised if I go MIA for awhile.....but if anyone wants a lil Super Bowl action.....I should be able to have me a lil R'nR SB fun while in Reno....at least that worked out to where I gotta great deal on a Suite over SB Wknd.....good thing my buddy put all his wagers from the last trip in Dec on my Players Card....betwen his bets (& he was also bettin for others too who came away fairly big winners....only winners get comped..lol) & mine we racked in some nice comp pts towards a Suite.....somethin tells me tho the Suite will end up bein a bit more expensive after it's all said 'n done....lol
I just may decide to make it easy & simply make 1 big bet.... Heads for the coin toss...then I'll know b4 KO if I'm a winner or not ;)~
