V.....I think u will find that u will always be learning/absorbing if u go about it right...which it appears u r.

I've been at it (mainly demo but a bit of live as well) for over 2 yrs now & still soakin stuff up & plan to 4 as long as I continue to stay connected to all things finance/trading.

1 of the 1st trading strats I ever implemented & has worked quite well for me is one that most do not rec'd u even attempt trying.....going against the trend.

Here's the deal....I look for fairly big & fast swings to any direction...at least 50 pips inside of a few mins...maybe 20 mins at the min....usually look for 100+ over 30 mins or so....then as it appears things are mellowing out....u will almost always see a move/correction back the other way...& as for me, all I'm lookin for is maybe 15-20 pips...30 tops. Usin Fibs for my exits is also key...especially for this approach. & as of late, (the last few mos) what I've been workin on is dumping anywhere's from 1/2 to a 1/3 of a position for a quick scalp (5-10 pips) & then settin the rest to b/e & hopin for the homerun.....50+. Ya can't get hurt w/this strat but it does take awhile in building the acct this way....most times I get stopped out @ b/e only grabbing a few pips. So then I change it up a bit....if I find that I'm not hitting the HR's I'll tend to either cover more (at least 1/2 to 2/3rds) for the quick scalp & or wait it out for a few more pips....like 15+ before setting the rest @ b/e. & if I'm really in need of the $$$$ I'll simply cover the entire lot for 10-15 pips & move on.

It's kinda like the penny mentality where ya wanna leave as many free chips on the table as ya can & move on....eventually one (or hopefully more) will prove 2 b the big HR.

Happy ta see a few more new faces 'round here & that they're all enjoying this...if u r a trader @ heart, how on earth can ya not have some fun w/4x? :)~

Cheers!!
