Golly, with all the businesses clamoring for new employees, you'd think everyone would be working....said tongue in cheek.

Truth be told, when I was young and looking for my first 'real' job, the very first place I applied, the owner of the business told me that he had 750 applicants. I didn't get the job, the reason given being that I was overqualified. My guess is that people looking for the jobs in this depressed market are facing a similar situation, although the ratio of over-qualified to under-qualified is probably close to 50-50.
