& get this....we actually got approved via Costco/Capital 1.....& at a better rate too (5.95%).....then as soon as Cap 1 learned that the title is in my name....they said no go...it would then be deemed a personal loan. Evidently they will only fund at the 5.95% rate if the check was bein cut to a major car dealer. I said of course I was assuming I had to sign title over to them....still no go.

This is UNREAL......this credit knee jerk reaction has gone waayyy too far the wrong way.

So I guess the plan now is to do what my original plan was....simply transfer the balance to my Chase 3.46% rate (standard purchase...NOT a teaser rate....so no additioanl 3% trans fee) & thus keep it on a CC & roll the dice for a few more mos. We're gonna try one more time tho & apply via the teachers credit union....tho somethin's tellin me that rate will be closer to the Wells offer we got of 8.17%...maybe a skosh lower....around 7.99%. If that doesn't pan out then in the meantime hopefully the Obama regime will be able to loosen up standards a bit & after a few mos of the Chase 3.46 well be able to find a secure line somewhere at a decent/fair rate.

It is unreal how truly terrible things have gotten credit wise.

& on that note....y dontcha jus simply apply for a 27K loan via BofA....if ya get anything under 7% I'd be happy ta make monthly payments in Jester's name to the tune of a 15K principal....72 mos would be great....we'd prolly buy down & make it 60 mos or less.....but it is nice to have the option of a lower monthly should we need it during any given month.

OK...enuff used car loan jabs in my direction.....Worn is NOT happy about this....NEVER have we ever been denied for anything...mortgage, cars, etc....in fact it was fun squeezin institutions for another 1/4 pt when shoppin around for various loans....now the tides have turned & I aint used to this type of financial rejection :0
