I rarely speculate on what moves the markets, but the weakness in the Nq's this morning suspiciously coincides with Mr. Kerry's naming John Edwards as his running mate. This is not a political thread, but sometimes political events do move markets. I think the Street prefers Republicans in the White House. I think too that the Street action this morning says that Mr. Bush is in for a tough fight.
