HOUSTON, Dec. 16, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Orion Marine Group, Inc. (NasdaqGM:OMGI - News) (the ``Company'), a leading heavy marine contractor, today announced its inclusion in NASDAQ's highest-tiered trading platform, the NASDAQ Global Select Market. Orion Marine Group was previously listed on the NASDAQ Global Market.

Beginning January 2, 2009, Orion Marine Group expects to be included in the NASDAQ Global Select Market, which according to NASDAQ, has the highest initial-listing standards of any exchange in the world based on stringent financial and liquidity requirements. NASDAQ Global Select Market companies are selected based on financial, qualitative, and liquidity requirements, as well as adherence to NASDAQ corporate governance requirements.
