What if the short is so massive the MM can't pay and no point in chasing the shares to cover the short and they file bankruptcy instead? Scary thought I know, but if this is as big as we think, then maybe just maybe they don't have the money to make good. So why chase part way? Brokerage has to pay? Just covering all bases, but some folks talk about dollars per share. If we get like .30 cents a share or something like that, they should be able to cover, but don't anyone tell me $10 or $40 per share. jmo
They'll pay I'm quite sure, they do this to a thousand stocks a day screwing them, they must have extremely deep pockets by now as they leave a trash pile full of companies in their wake.
