I think BLLN thought they had tacit / informal approval from a few individuals within the labels to go ahead, but higher-ups overruled the situation when they became aware of it, for whatever reason, maybe on legal advice. It also seems to me that not a few of them really got p*sd off at AK for going ahead, maybe thinking it was a play to corner them - that would be enough to annoy people I'm sure. Lesson learned - don't do anything without a signed permission and better still a contract. Seems simple doesn't it - learning as we go, in my opinion. All imo only
