The 7.75% is a contract. A contract made with the stock, not the person who bought the stock. So whoever holds the stock is entitled to the payment. You may have only paid 3 dollars for that share but the orginal owner paid 1000 minus the discount. Your luck is his sorrow. The div/interest payments WILL be reinstated.
