I think they will have a deal. But if something does go wrong, Cortex can get money. A private equity group approached me not long ago (I know one of the principals) to see if I would support their proposal for a large financing of Cortex--much larger than Cortex has to have right now--but on terms which I considered unacceptable. I told them I would not support that proposal, but that they should bring it to Cortex, management could make its own decision. Nothing happened, so I presume that Cortex's reaction was similar. The point? With human POC, Cortex is in better shape for financing or M&A than a lot of small companies who either lack POC, or have it in an area where there is a lot of competition. They can get money if they are willing to tolerate a lot of dilution. I think they will do everything they can to obtain a nondilutive (or mostly nondilutive, if there is a small equity stake) partnership that will serve their immediate purpose. If they can't, there are financing options.
