Windsock, > Who are the "they" that you suggest had to change the name of Global Warming? I suggested -- and so have others -- that a better name was Climate Change because it is a broader term that covers more effects than just increasing temperature.

It wasn't too long ago that Bill Nye, "The Science Guy," gave a talk at my alma mater, and he suggested changing the name from "global warming" to "global heating" or "global cooking."

Nobel Peace Prize laureate Al Gore once testified before Congress that the planet has a "fever." (Maybe the planet is now suffering from "chills"?)

I don't know who was exactly responsible for changing the phrase to "climate change," but the shift was drastically noticeable in the media. Only problem now is that lots of man-made things affect climate change.
