To my way of thinking, the US wants a steady supply of oil and wants to run pipelines in the Middle East. It just so happens that the followers of Islam live there. I think the US foreign policy leaders decided long ago that it was easier to occupy those countries if they were made out to be so culturally different, that they were in effect, evil. Those so called "terrorists" and "fanatics" are mostly people who are sick and tired of our presence. If China bombed our country, planted bases throughout the states, and then decided what our government should like like in the future, the Chinese would have to worry about our own newborn "terrorists" and "fanatics."

"The Clash of Civilizations" thesis is a gimmick like...
