After seeing the doc..."Who Killed the Electric Car".....ya gotta jus puke at this whole Det bailout story & how the govt is washing their hands of any blame here & makin it seem like it was all Detroit's fault.....wadda sham/charade.....we continue to be played like nobody's biz.

If we woulda remained on the course of the electric car back when it was re-introduced in the late 80's early 90's...we'd be sooo far ahead of Japan by now w/all this tech...we pretty much handed it to Japan on a silver tea platter....tphhfffttt!!!

& under the header of "did ya know".....one of the 1st US made cars to ever hit the road was actually electric tech....yup...at the time the gas engine was being introduced in the US they also had an electric model.....no joke. But of course bein that gasoline was far easier for everyone to get (not everyone had the electrical capacity at home at the time) & fill their cars up with (the few who could actually afford cars back then) was pretty much the main reason why the electric was shelved the 1st time back in the day.

But on the 2nd go around in the early 90's (GM's model that was sold thru Saturn) we can place the blame squarely on the govt, the oil lobby & even GM had some blame too.....they really didn't want anything to do w/it all b/c they weren't too sure if the demand was really there & the govt wouldn't even consider subsudizing them as an added layer of security....of course they wouldn't..the oil lobby was way too strong.v So now look at how much the govt has ta subsidize now...UNREAL!!

Wadda joke of an excuse....the deamnd wasn't there....they couldn't build'em fast enuff....there was quite a waiting list for'em & even when GM came knocking on the owners doors do take the cars back when they decided to dismantle the program....over 90% of the owners did not want to give the cars back...they loved'em that much.

I highly rec'd viewing this Doc if u haven't already done so...it will give u an even better understanding as to just how shadey our system truly is.
