8x8, Inc. Announces Appointment of Regional Sales Managers and Opening of East Coast Sales Office

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Dec. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- 8x8, Inc. (Nasdaq: EGHT - News), provider of 8x8 Virtual Office and Packet8 (http://www.packet8.net) broadband business, residential, video and mobile communications services, today announced the appointment of two new regional sales managers along with the opening of a New York-based east coast sales office.

John Hilliard, newly appointed Northeast Regional Channel Manager, brings extensive telecommunications industry experience to 8x8 having worked with organizations such as Nortel, MCK Communications, Bandtel, New Edge Networks and Whaleback Systems in a variety of channel sales positions. Hilliard is responsible for the development and support of channel partners in the northeast territory and is based in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

Robert Bashore, newly appointed Southeast Regional Channel Manager, comes to 8x8 with over 13 years of telecom channel sales and major accounts experience with companies like Mitel, Inc., Inter-Tel and A-Telecom, Inc. Bashore is responsible for the development and support of channel partners in the southeastern U.S. and is based in Melbourne, Florida.

Hilliard and Bashore join existing 8x8 field sales personnel Western Regional Channel Manager Tom Cooley, formerly with PowerGrid Communications, GTE, CommNet Cellular, and US West and Central Regional Channel Manager Michael Milnamow, whose previous affiliations include NatCom Systems, Inc., AltiGen Communications and Active Voice Corporation.

8x8 also announced it has opened a New York sales office to augment the company's direct sales organization on the east coast. The Pittsford, New York office will be managed by Vincent Mussumeci, a top performing sales agent who has been with the company since November 2006. Mussumeci has over 14 years of business to business telecom experience including his most recent position prior to 8x8 as Director of Business Development at 5linx Enterprises, Inc., an "Inc. 500" telecommunications company that distributes its products and services through a network of dedicated independent marketing representatives.
