I have been debating Plant and the company for several years on the board. You will remember that comments that did not please those in charge of this thread were quickly deleted in the past. So there was only so much one could openly say.

I was always sure Plant was not competent to run this company. I was unaware that Plant was running a scam. I was unaware that the patents he claimed were all bogus. But from my previous position with the firm (I was the first Marketing VP until the incident described in my post of a few days ago), I recognized that Plant's advertising, marketing, and resources were being poorly allocated given the strategy he had laid out months prior. For example, Super Bowl advertising was the equivalent of pouring good scotch down the sink. It added nothing to the company's long term objectives and just inflated expenses.

For those who read the posts and believed that opinions contrary to what you are being officially told are sometimes correct, you should have been aware that something may be wrong. I resolutely believe that even if this was not a scam, Plant would find a way to bankrupt the company due to his managerial incompetence. He was arrogant, at times abusive and fully convinced that he could do it all. Everyone else was just there to marvel at Jim's brilliance. He allowed no initiative, no original thought and no alternatives. It was Jim's way every time.

So you lost money. So did I, though considerably less than you. Others dropped a ton more than both of us put together. The signs were there. Of Jim's first three executive hires, two of us were gone in less than a year. If that's not a red flag, I don't know what is.
