LongCYRX: OK,I'm sorry, not naive. Certainly a factor, at times, especially at market bottoms and tops,but hardly the main factor or THE driving force behind the markets. The markets are institutionally driven, and while at times, emotions may be a factor, fear and greed are more endemic to the retail trader.
But it all depends on your interpretation of fear and greed i.e,is wanting to make money greed, or is chasing the market greed? Is getting out of a trade too soon fear, or is investors staying out of the market fear?
Like I said, people tend to look at things in black and white....but in reality everything is in shades of gray.
