Ha, ha, I`ve spent enought time in and around manufacturing areas to not have to wonder if the two were inter-related. You don`t form things of one shape into another shape without using some sort of pressure. The machines that do that are usually called presses. Some are heated to aid the process by softening the material to be formed. The operators of those machines are usually called press operators......no matter what building the reside in.

I understand your desire to keep the dream alive, but what appears to be something near to a 50% lay-off and extended vacations forced on machine operators by a manufacturing facility does not bode well for the products they produce.

Including a product that was to have gone to market two years ago and has yet to secure a revenue producing contract. Please, aside from abstract and innuendo, do you know otherwise?
