World's Largest Beverage Competition Announces Winners -- Liquor Group Brands Faired Well

GENEVE, Switzerland, Dec. 12, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Once again the finest alcohol beverage products from 25 countries and all parts of the globe assembled to compete in the 2008-2009 World Spirits and World Wines Competitions; with entries in excess of 50,000 various brands, the judging results yielded awards for many Liquor Group (OTC BB:LIQR.OB - News) brands. Liquor Group's portfolio spans more than 1700 products; therefore a pleasant side effect of having such diversification in goods is the statistical advantage in award completions.
In the World Wines Competition, Platinum winner Casa BoMargo Chianti, Gold winner Azarro Syrah, and Silver Winner Domaine Fevre are all represented by Liquor Group.

In the World Spirits Competition, many liquor brands represented by Liquor Group faired well including Trump Grape Vodka, taking Platinum honors in the Flavored Vodka Category and Isla N Rum received Platinum in the Light Rum Category.
