I don't understand why there are specified days to cover yet there are perpetual shorts shares in virtually every stock . Note the days to cover in CPST when there were over 28 million shares short , yet there are still 17.6 million to cover .

I know there is an answer so I'm sure a smarter person than moi will post it . *** I don't even know how to short ....rats .
