There is a big difference between people who had something like that happen and don't pay their bills and the ones who run them up living frivolously, file bankruptcy to get out of it, and then start doing the same thing all over again with a credit score better than someone who followed the rules and paid their bills. That was my only point.....that, and that our whole FICO and scoring system is inherently flawed.

Well - I started the day off horribly. I got margined out on my U/J long, so now I have lost all of my previous gains and I am back down below $300. Hopefully, I can do a repeat and skip the $2200 loss next time....
