Telemetrix Selected by Ericsson as Partner for Telemetry Solutions

DENVER, Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Telemetrix Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: TLXT)
(http://www.tlxt.net) ("Telemetrix") announced today that it has been selected
by Ericsson Messaging Systems Inc. ("Ericsson," http://www.ericsson.com), a
unit of the world's leading telecommunications provider, as a partner in the
area of wireless telemetry solutions. Under the agreement between Telemetrix
and Ericsson, Ericsson's telemetry solution will be complimented by
methodologies derived from Telemetrix's patented T3000 e-Telemetry Data(TM)
product.
Michael Tracy, President and CEO of Telemetrix said, "Telemetrix's
partnership with Ericsson represents a significant milestone for Telemetrix
and validates our belief in the future of the Telemetrix e-Telemetry Data(TM)
System. We believe that this strategic relationship will be very beneficial to
Telemetrix and will provide an opportunity for our patented T3000 e-Telemetry
Data(TM) components to gain rapid and widespread distribution through the
Ericsson marketing channels."
Select methodologies and componentry from Telemetrix's e-Telemetry Data
System will compliment core technology branded and marketed under the Ericsson
name. The total Ericsson telemetry solution delivers a cost-effective means of
implementing a utility automatic meter reading program in a fraction of the
time and cost of competing systems. Key components of Telemetrix's T3000 Data
System to be included in Ericsson's solution include T3000 optical readers and
T3000 communications centers that allow the transfer of telemetry data over
Short Message Service.

About the Telemetrix e-Telemetry Data(TM) System
The Telemetrix e-Telemetry Data(TM) System compliments a virtual
nationwide telemetry data network that may be accessed by any size customer,
for the collection and delivery of telemetry data, or for the control of any
device located anywhere that has digital communications system coverage. The
network is accessed through the Internet and the control and content is
delivered by a PCS communication system provider. E-Telemetry Data(TM)
applications include: remote automatic utility meter reading, home health,
security, status and condition of devices, remote monitoring of vending
machines to determine and track inventory, temperature, cash transactions and
vandalism. Additional to meter reading, solutions provided by the e-Telemetry
Data(TM) System promise to provide unprecedented cost savings resulting from
the efficiencies of remote monitoring and management to its users, who will
include companies in various industries such as the utility, security and
vending machine vertical segments.
The e-Telemetry Data(TM) System is implemented through the existing
digital communications companies networks and requires no special modification
to the digital communications network or network infrastructure. The patented
system may be used on any network technology standard, GSM, TDMA or CDMA. The
e-Telemetry Data(TM) System does not reduce the overall network system
capacity.
Telemetrix has been working with a number of test and evaluation projects
and expects to begin delivery of equipment and commence of customer support
and data services in first quarter 2001 pending the finalization of customer
contracts and details.
Telemetrix provides customer management solutions and enabling
technologies for a wide variety of communications markets. Telemetrix's
patented T3000 e-Telemetry Data(TM) System, e-Telemetry Data(TM) methods and
its years of research and development of telemetry data products and services
position Telemetrix to take advantage of the rapidly expanding telemetry data
services market which is projected to grow to over $7 billion in the U.S. by
