Agreement to Add Approximately $6.5 Million in Annualized Revenues
TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 22, 2004--Segmentz, Inc. (AMEX: SZI - News), announced today the signing of an agency agreement with Indiana-based Temple Trucking Services, Inc. to provide cartage services in multiple cities throughout the Midwestern United States.
This relationship is expected to yield $6.5 million in annualized revenues and an estimated $500,000 to 600,000 in annualized pre-tax income.
The agency relationship with Temple Trucking Services, Inc. will facilitate a cost-effective expansion for the expedited delivery network of Segmentz. Additionally, Temple Trucking will now exclusively handle local cartage services in the Louisville market for Segmentz, allowing for the reduction of fixed costs associated with both terminal and line haul operations. These synergies are expected to yield an increase in the profit margins of each respective company.
Allan Marshall, Chief Executive Officer of Segmentz, Inc., commented, "We are excited about the newly formed partnership with Temple Trucking. Temple's dependable industry reputation and coverage area will allow our customers both expanded offerings and enhanced service. This relationship will allow both companies to continue working on load optimization which in our business determines the ultimate profitability. Furthermore, should all the synergies we anticipate materialize, Segmentz has the option to purchase Temple and make the arrangement another permanent member of our rapidly growing company."
Paul Temple, President of Temple Trucking Services, Inc. commented, "The alliance with Segmentz allows us to offer new points of service while increasing utilization on routes in each city we currently serve. There are many opportunities for both companies in the Midwestern market and we look forward to working with the Segmentz team to improve both companies profitability and offer additional services to our respective customers."
