I only sell puts on stocks that I would like to own so if it is put to me I can immediately sell an ITM covered call but I'd rather not own the stock (I've lost too much cash holding stocks).

If my assessment of the stock changes then I'll buy the put back for a loss, this usually happens if I sell longer dated puts and is why I'm changing to selling naked puts no further out than 1 week. (I think I might be pushing my luck selling naked puts butttttttttttttttttttttttttt..) smile

[edit] loses on naked puts can be substantial so be careful.....
